Slackware64 KDE

I am new to linux and slackware. I am loading slackware in VmWare. The KDE desktop will not load. I can run all other GUI formats but am unable to run this one. It crashes after a few seconds. The error reports to please consult the x.org foundation support at http://wiki.x.org. There is a lengthy list of errors and script after that. I am unable to copy and past because i am in vmware. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Can you manage to switch off KDE desktop effects? They are known to crash KDE and I believe they are enabled by default.

edit: btw, hi and welcome to LQ.

Boot into one of the other DEs/WMs and install the VMware Tools.

How do you did that? It seems I have similar problem: after login dialog it tries to load and instantly halts(returns back to login manager).
PS: Not VmWare, but physical machine.
