Slackware partition confuse

hi....

I'm new to slackware...

Well before the installation...... I use cfdisk to create partition:

/hda5 linux 1G
/hda6 NTFS 3G
/hda7 NFTS 2G
/hda8 NFTS 2G
/hda9 NFTS 22G

NOTE: all the partition above are logical or secondary partition.....

then i use write and done....quit....

then use setup...

add swap.... i mount it to /hda5:
/swap -> /hda5

then select target part:

/ -> hda6
/var -> hda7
/tmp -> hda8
/usr -> hda9

ok now the problems:

1. When i try to mount / (the root) to hda6.... is kinda og nothing happends..

2. then i use full install (all the program..kde...gnome..etc etc) it said no more space at a certain package........

so where did i go wrong.....??

Thanks

According to what you have, you set your Linux partitions to use a Windows filesystem type (NTFS). You should make /dev/hda5 a Linux swap partition and the rest Linux partitions. Then when the Slackware install formats the partitions, it will ask you which type of Linux filesystem to put on them (ext2, ext3, or reiser).
