Slackware Lilo Problem


Hey everyone,
i installed Slackware today
and it encountered a problem with lilo during install...
and now it just boots up windows xp professional like usual..
is there a way to install lilo again?
without installing all of slackware again

you can try with lilo boot floppy, or with SystemRescueCd (http://www.sysresccd.org/)

boot from lilo boot floppy, or with SystemRescueCd and reinstall lilo

edit your lilo.conf and then run "lilo" to reinstall it to MBR

you can even try boot with your slackware install cd and then run liloconfig

k im new to linux so that was very confusing...
i duno what to do...im getting the cd
to see if i can work that out

you can boot from the slack cd #1.

put the cd in, reboot, and at the boot prompt, type

bare.i root=/dev/hdX no initrd ro
(the X being whatever partition number linux lives on...)

once it boots up, log in as root, and at the prompt, type liloconfig and it will start and ask you some questions and walk you through the install of LILO

i have the cd....
duno what to do now lol
and the slackware method didnt work

i suggest you to read Slackware Essentials Book
http://www.czslug.cz/documents/Slack...Essentials.pdf
and the try install it again

Reinstalled Slackware.....
No luck.
tried to create a lilo floppy disc....
No Luck.
any ideas?
