Hey everyone,
i installed Slackware today
and it encountered a problem with lilo during install...
and now it just boots up windows xp professional like usual..
is there a way to install lilo again?
without installing all of slackware again
put the cd in, reboot, and at the boot prompt, type
bare.i root=/dev/hdX no initrd ro
(the X being whatever partition number linux lives on...)
once it boots up, log in as root, and at the prompt, type liloconfig and it will start and ask you some questions and walk you through the install of LILO
