Slackware + internet problem

Hello,

I have just installed Slackware 11.0 on my desktop computer and have difficulties connecting to the internet.
When I write ifconfig eth0 it shows this:

Code:
eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found.
Right now I am writing from my laptop computer with Slackware 11.0. And here everything works perfectly.

Have anyone a clue how to fix this problem?

If it's a PCI card (which is mostly the case), try `lspci`.

Make sure you have the proper kernel modules installed.
