Slackware - Got Mouse Working but how do you speed it up?

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie and I just installed linux for the first time. I chose Slackware even though its supposed to be one of the hardest because I don't want to learn a distribution, I want to learn linux. I got everything up and running ok (I think) and I even managed to get the mouse working in Xwin (finally). Now my question is how do I speed up the cursor movement for the mouse??? I am using KDE so I am not sure if you do it inside of KDE or if you do it at console or boot time. Anyone know how to do this it would be a great help.

Thanks!

How do you do it without KDE?

use the terminal command xset, for example xset m 0 0 or xset m 5 3
