Exclamation Slackware Crashes

Hey, I dunno why, but some applications on Slackware [9.1] Crash. I just installed the OS today. I am using KDE 3.1. Should I swtich to GNOME? How do I swtich to GNOME. There is no option like in RH9 to choose to go into GNOME or KDE.

from a term window or CLI type: xwmconfig
this will give you a menu to choose which window manager to use

as stated above, in the terminal type 'xwmconfig' and pick Gnome if that's what you want. Then visit www.dropline.net and download that to get a really nice Gnome for your slack!
edit the /etc/inittab default runlevel to boot straight to the GUI if you want to.
