slackware cd1 won't boot

Hello everyone. I tried installing slackware 10.1 on an old celeron 433mhz but the cd doesn't boot properly. It displays isolinux then slackware 10.1 and some other stuff on the screen after the cd starts to boot but the system hangs after. I tried making a boot disk with rawrite but windows tells me that I don't have the right permissions even when I am logged in as administrator. Of course the CD boots properly on my athlon xp machine which is the one I don't want to install onto. Any ideas why the CD won't boot would be extremely appreciated. Thanks.

Why dont you wite down any errors or the part where it hangs and post it. Probably some hardware kernel doesn't like or bad memory

That's all I get on the screen and none of the keys on the keyboard do anything. Win xp works perfectly on it so there shouldn't be any hardware problems.
