Slackware booting issue

Hello, I've just tried to setup a dual boot system using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and Slackware 13.1 64 bit. I installed by booting from USB key and using Slackware setup program to connect to a mirror to download the packages. During installaton I received an error when trying to setup lilo automatically (error in line 12), and unfortunately didn't make a boot disc when I had the chance (thought I would be able to get back in and try and configure it manually).

Now I've rebooted from the original install USB and when I go back in to Setup again and try to go to 'Reconfigure your Linux System' it just flashes and leaves me on the main Setup menu.

Any ideas on how I could create a boot disc, or any other ideas on what I should/can do?

Hi,

Just boot the install again then run 'pkgtool' & select 'Setup' to run setups scripts. You should then be able to run any of the desired scripts.

Otherwise, use 'chroot' or boot your installed system at the 'boot:' prompt to make corrections.

Ahh too easy that worked, thanks! Now just need it to pick up the USB sticks I'm trying, keep getting 'NO NEW DEVICE DETECTED - No new USB device was detected etc'.

Tried three different sticks and keep getting the same message, I'll have a play around and see if I can get it going

Now managed to manually configure lilo and works as it should, thanks
