Slackware
I have install the Slackware12.0 Linux. It only having the text mode operation. There is no GUI mode.
What to do for that....... |
Run "startx". If you want to boot with a GUI, then edit /etc/inittab, changing your default runlevel from 3, 4 (i.e. edit the file /etc/inittab and change the line "id:3:initdefault: to id:4:initdefault:"). You'll need to edit the file as root.
Also, please use better thread titles in future and search for similar posts, because this has been answered before. |
Before you startx, setup your xorg.conf manually, or automatically by using xorgsetup
