I'm not too familiar with xorgconfig, but some search results are leading me to believe it's been deprecated. This post seems to have some relevant info...

As the logfile states X is not able to initialize your keyboard, because it is missing files. It is not related to your graphics card. Have you made the recommended full install of Slackware?

xorgsetup still works, but has problems with some graphics cards
