Slackware 10.1 Keybord and Mouse problem

Hello. I am

I have just installed Slackware 10.1

When it boots up in TEXT-MODE my keybord works fine. But when i Start KDE my keybord and mouse stop working...(When installig i chose not to enable HOTPOLUG, because when I enabled it my keybord didn't work in TEXT-MODE). I tried to use XORGSETUP and XORGCONFIG(I don't know what to choose when I am configuring manually).

P.S. Keybord PS/2, mouse USB optical and using sata.i kernel

Have you configured /etc/X11/xorg.conf, or run xorgconfig? If so, show it

Maybe try a different mouse protocol, eg. IMPS/2 or PS/2...

Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"

Just a thought.

I do not know if this helps, but this is my working xorg.conf (relevent parts only). I too have a PS/2 keyboard and a USB mouse. The lack of hotplug on your system might interfere with the usb connection to the mouse, but I think if it is plugged in at boot-up it should still work.

Option "AutoRepeat" "500 30"
# Specify which keyboard LEDs can be user-controlled (eg, with xset(1))
Option "XkbRules" "xorg"

EndSection

Section "InputDevice"

#Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"
#Option "Protocol" "PS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "Buttons" "5"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

EndSection

Good luck.
