skype 4.3 not listing Microphone from Microsoft LifeCam

skype 4.3 is not listing Microphone from Microsoft LifeCam but it does list the Microsoft LifeCam as Video Device. What can I do to enable the microphone part of the camera to work in skype? I did make the test call and of course it didn't work. Any ideas?
