Simple WIndows / Fedora question

Hi I've networked my fedora comp to a windows network. I can access my files on my 2 windows computers from my Fedora comp quite easily. My windows comp however, cannot see my Fedora comp. I've looked on the net to see how to fix this or see what I'm doing wrong but I cannot find anything at all.

Am I right in assuming that This cannot be done?

It can be done, and many before you have done it. You need to install Samba server on your linux machine and configure it. Once done, you can share files, directorys and printers.

Have a look for samba in the tutorials, networking section for some guidance on the How-to part. Maks a simple configuration first, get it working, then you can make it as complex as you need to.

Thanks that's great - wonder why I couldn't find anything - must be me! I think I automatically installed samba when installing fed 5 so I'll look up how to configure it. Cheers
