simple kerberos question

I am trying to install kerberos on a Ubuntu server. I am following the instructions at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Kerberos. When I get to the KDC Setup section and execute "sudo dpkg-reconfigure krb5-kdc", I get an error that tells me to look in the log file.

Where is the log file located?

I've tried all the usual places. Not even sure what the log file is named.

Have you tried looking in /var/log/dpkg.log?

Yes. I looked in all the log files in /var/log. There were entries relating to krb5, but noting indicating an error.

What is the full error? And have you tried redirecting STDOUT and STDERR to see if you can catch the error instead?

OBE

I blew away that virtual machine and restarted from a previous snapshot. This time I followed the instructions at https://help.ubuntu.com/11.10/server.../kerberos.html. No error when I came to the dpkg reconfigure. Everything seems to be working as described.
