what is signal 0 in linux ????(Description)

It's apparently special, used with Kill but does nothing. the Error reporting function still works though.

signal 0 is just used to check process is exists or not.

description from man kill page.

Code:
0          0   n/a       exit code indicates if a signal may be sent
