shutdown remote machine
I have a machine I connect to remotely. I have been using the command shutdown -h now. Compared to shutting down the machine by using the console in the graphic interface, the shutdown is fast. Is this a bad way to shutdown the machine? Am I not following a proper shutdown sequence by using this command? Thanks,

no shutdown -h now is a perfectly valid shutdown command
