shortcut to mounted drive

Hi,

I would like to create a shortcut in my home folder to my mounted windoze drive rather than have to navigate to /mnt/abc all the time. How can I do that?

These things are so familiar under windows yet not obvious in linux. Now that I can access and share all my local and network files and also have my email in both linux and windoze (the latter I need for my work) I intend doing 90% of my personal stuff in linux - I love it!

Thank you for you help...

If you are using kde right click on the desktop->create new ->hard drive->do the setup (you need device name etc)

For example:

ln -s /mnt/abc ~/Desktop

Thank you. I didn't know if I was running Gnome or KDE, but discovered it was Gnome. So I changed to KDE and this was then easy. Perhaps I'll stick with KDE. Is there any difference in functionality between these 2 desktops?
