"shortcut" in Konquerer

Forgive the silliness of this question: I'm new KDE and Konquerer. I'm running a HD install of KNoppix and I want to add a "shortcut" or Alias to my home directory such that I can click on it in the "save" or "Open" dialogues such that I can be whisked away to my USB flash drive (/mnt/sda1) without having to navigate to the thumb drive manually each time. How do I do this? I do have a bookmark in Konquerer but that doesn't help when in the Save As or Open dialogues of applications.
