Sharing a folder on a hard drive.

Hello all.
Can any one help im very new to linux and telnet.
I have a Sumvision Mkv Enclosure media player it has Samba on it and i can view files and folders from a windows machine(XP) on the same network. I also have a hummax HDR fox T2 i have sucesfully mounted on the fox t2 a cif share so i can see the HDD on the sumvision and then drill down thru the folders and files on the hummax(great so far).

What i want to do is mount a cif share directley to a specific folder on the sumvision eg a folder called movies, rather than the whole HDD.
When i try to mount a specfic folder it just does not wotk at all(it does try to).

Can anyone explain how via telnet how to tell the Sumvivison to share a specific folder eg "movies" or "photo" or "music" on a perminent basis.
I hope that i have given enough info if you require anymore please ask and ill try to find out.
Thanks in anticipation

Not a clue but after a google search this forum has multiple hits. It is specific to that type of equipment so it may help.

Good luck.
