SFTP -- Couldn't get handle: Permission denied
 
i am able to connect to remote server successfully through SFTP , i am able to change the directory there .

but when i am using put command and tries to put any file in remote server i am getting below error
"Couldn't get handle: Permission denied"

That's because you may not have upload permission on the directory from FTP server. try to contat your Admin to have the access.

I understand that BUT, if I am able to transfer files normally via FileZilla, shouldn't I be able to do this from a Linux command line?

Aren't you confusing SFTP from FTP?
