Several Versions Of Ubuntu In Startup. What Is Happening

I used sudo apt-get upgrade and sudo apt-get and disaster happened after I hibernated.

I got 10.04.4 LTS 2.6.32-48 2.6.32-27 2.6.31-22 and 2.6.24-28 installed on my laptop.

I dunno what the hell is happening. Pls help

What is the output of this command?
Code:

uname -r
If all you have are 3 kernel packages installed, then there is no disaster. You can always remove the two you don't want with your package manager. Is your system running normally otherwise?
jdk

The only "disaster" is that you are running 10.04, which has reached its "end of life" and is no longer supported with security patches and bug fixes.

It is totally normal for Kubuntu to offer your choice of kernels at boot. This is done so that, if you have a problem using the new kernel, you can choose one of the older kernels that you know used to work. :)
