Angry Setup a Lexmark 6100 series on Ubuntu GNOME 9.04

I am new to Ubuntu and having problems setting up my printer with Ubuntu. It works fine in XP. I dowloaded the ZIP file from Lexmark but when i try to unzip and install the driver, it generates an error "can not open binary file". Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

To set up a printer in Ubuntu go to the upper taskbar to System > Administration > Printing click on New Printer and go through the setup wizard. It could be the printer is not supported by linux.

Edit: I just looked at the HCL list on this site and your printer wasn't listed but the list may not be up to date.
