setting up SETI on 486 with slackware
 
Can someone help by telling me which if any file on teh seti page will install and run on my 486dx running zipslack kernel 2.2. Im using the machine rignt now as a C compiler runnign through hyperterminal, and want to put it to good use when i dont have a program due. I cant find a specific file on teh seti page which will work.

I would have said "i386-pc-linux-gnulibc1-static", or maybe "i386-pc-linux-gnu-gnulibc2.1", but those don't seem to be available anymore.

"Intel versions run on the given processor and higher." You can try the "i686-pc-linux-gnu". If it doesn't run, then I guess you can't use that computer to run SETI@home.
