Setting up printer trouble

Hi i'm still new to Linux and i'm having trouble setting up an Epson Stylus NX105 all in one printer on Ubuntu, i'm pretty sure ive got the right driver set up for it but when i attempt to print a test page the printer does nothing, i must have done something wrong in the setup process, any ideas why?

Are you using the most recent version of Ubuntu, 11.10?
If so, did you try to configure it in System Settings?
If you are using a different version of Ubuntu or tried to configure in a different manner, more details.

hi

I don't use ubuntu but forgot to mention that in my groups...I am not a member of lpadmin.

so when I go to cups I need to input root user and root password.

if you are single user you may like to try adding yourself to that group?

since you are ubuntu try this

Code:
sudo gedit /etc/group
(navigate to line and edit to make it)
lpadmin:x:110:yourname
save the file and then re-run groups to check

Note that 110 can be a different number on your system ...good luck
