Unhappy setting up my network on mandrake 9.2


i have mandrake 9.2 all working i only installed disk one but it seems to all be working i cant figure out what dhcp and http server and all that is i have a xp as my ics server my linux box is my client but i have no clue as to what to put in the boxes and how to turn on my nic "i guess" my nic is seen by linux but just dont have a clue as to what to do please help i am extremely new at this and am extremly tired of xp
