Setting up my first website-help....

I need to setup my own website which must be able to host my linux multidistro's.
I need a month-to-month plan that is low cost, has a website "builder", and allows about 1GB+ of space and large file uploads.

GoDaddy is reasonable, Has one click installable apps (CMS, etc)
http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hostin...p?ci=9009#tabs
I've been using them for a couple years, and have had no major issues..
I could do without all the advertisements when going in to manage the account, but I think they all do that these days. just a minor annoyance. Network solutions does the same thing

Haven't used em but I see ads for 1&1 all the time..

More inportant the the Couple GB of space would be download transfer volume.. how many people can download your content before your site gets shut down, or will they charge transfer volume overages.. Make sure you look at possible overage charges when investigating plans. In which case the GoDaddy unlimited plan might be a good idea..

Did you contacted your provider?
Often they offer free webspace.

Most hosting providers offer free traffic with the hosting, but it isn't much
Mine is 2GB/year, which is OK for normal viewings.
If you want to offer downloads, your limit is gone after 1 upload, and 1 download :-)
