Setting LCD monitor at boot for live distro of Featherweight Linux

I am trying to run a featherweight linux live distribution booting from CD.

I have a CMC LCD monitor and recieve an "Out of Range Error" which gives a vertical refresh of 87 mhz. This occurs after I have recived the featherweight linux screen and have a boot prompt in lower left hand corner of the screen.

After searching various posts I need to set the vsync=75 at the Linux starup screen but am unable to find commmands to do this.

I have tried entering vsync=75 at the boot prompt but still recive the same error.

My LCD monitor works fine with SUSE Linux Pro 9.1.

I was trying Feather for a while too on an older laptop with an LCD, to get the cheat code, which i think "vsync=75 is, to work. I would type "knoppix vga=789", thats the cheat code i needed for the GUI to work, otherwise i would just get the command line.

If the vsync doesnt work, i would find the specs of your monitor and google possible cheat codes for it.

After i figured out how to configure it to work with the GUI and i wanted to HD install i never again got the GUI to work, it always froze up on me.

And it could be im way off base and we arnt having the same problem lol.
