Setting 24Hr time in Thunderbird?

Im running Mandrake Linux and the system time itself is on the 24Hr system time format. But when I send/Receive email the header is in AM/PM mode.

What could I do to change this to 24hr?

I have got the binary from mozilla.org (not an RPM or something, which could cause imho your problem). I'm running mdk10 on this box, and without having to set those preferences in TB, it just runs fine!
