Set up mail server?
 

I'm running Slackware. I installed xampp (Apache+extra). All packages are installed for Slackware. Should the mail server already be setup or no? If not, how do I set it up? The forum I installed doesn't seem to be sending emails.

I would read the xampp docs, I haven't ever used it, but if you need to set up a mail server(postfix) go over to http://www.howtoforge.com/ and under the linux menu, there are some good how tos, I believe postfix is one of them. They can be a pain to set up correctly, the first time or so, so read the instructions first once before you begin, then follow them exactly and you should be in good shape.

Yeah, turns out it was already up and running. Seems like yahoo just took its time receiving the message.

Hmm. How would I set the email name? I don't have a domain. When it sent it email, the email address was: root@linux_zeno.localdomain
