Set up 2 DVD playback drives

I recently installed Suse 9.3. I have a dvd reader/dvd writer(\dev\hdc) and a dvd reader/cd writer(\dev\hdd). I can play dvd's on the \dev\hdc, but not on \dev\hdd. Kaffeine gives me two ereos:

The source can't be read.

Maybe you don't have enough rights for this, or source doesn't contain data (e.g: no disk in drive). (/dev/dvd)

And

No pugin found to handle this resource (dvd:/)

How do I set up more than on dvd playback drive.

Check if /dev/hdd is mounted when /dev/hdc is not. Try to play something from both of them and then run
mount
Do you have them on the list?

Thanx for the response

I ran mount under several different configurations. I'm not quit sure what I'm looking for, but the \dev\hd2 line shows up if I have media in either or both drives (I've posted the results below if that hepls).

When there is a dvd in \dev\hdd the movie title shows up in my home directory and the files can be accessed. I just can't play the movie.

Mount Results:

mplayer and xine default to /dev/dvd. go into prefs and set you cdrom device to the second drive. then try a dvd Im sure this will work or below on the command line

mplayer -dvd-device /dev/hdd dvd://1
xine dvd:/dev/hdd

Further to this, once you have configured mplayer or xine,
you might want to create a symbolic link
like /dev/dvd and /dev/dvd2 (for example)

so when you change the configuration of mplayer you can
use either drive simply.

If you are new to Linux, type
man ln
to learn about linjks
