Set CentOS 7 wired network to automatically connect

I have a number of CentOS 7 VMs and there is only one that won't automatically connect to the wired network.

Thru the gui (Gnome 3.8.4), I found the checkbox to automatically connect it, however I would like to know what file to modify in the future for my learning experience.

I was not able to find the file to modify. I looked under /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts.

thanks

there is a networkmanager cli program in centos7 you can use to manipulate NM settings - it's named nmtui

Cool, didn't know about that utility.

Still don't know where to change what file to change that setting.

thanks

Re: Set CentOS 7 wired network to automatically connect

I know this is an old post but I thought this information might help others.

I think the file you were looking for is /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and the entry should be something like 'ONBOOT=yes'.
