Hi,

I don't really see how anyone can give a specific answer unless you specify what daemon/service you are referring to.

read the error logs in /var/log

without knowing even the bare minimum of the name of this unknown service , there is no way we can help
other than read the error log

Well, what DO you want people to tell you? Unless you bother to check the log files, there is NO WAY anyone can tell you why a service crashed...why, exactly do you think that log files exist in the first place??? And unless you tell us WHAT service, how do you think we're going to be able to guess as to what you're talking about??

Want to know about services? Check the log file(s) associated with them. Want more information? Then call Red Hat support...you are PAYING for it with your RHEL subscription, right???
