Server seem to crash every couple of hours


Hi friends,



This is Plesk linux server.I am using CentOS release 5.5 (Final) OS. Server seem to crash every couple of hours.
Perhaps apache has memory leak?

You're running out of memory. Reduce your applications' memory usage or add more RAM or add more swap.

Here's one Apache tuning guide.

Sorry ..What is memory profiler ? How to activate that ?

Nevermind. Read the first part of my previous post again. Just don't claim that a program has a bug or a leak without proof.

The most common problem for LAMP servers such as Plesk is that the Apache is going to overrun the server. Even if MySQL is over running the server, this is throttled by how Apache accesses MySQL.

Other than that, make sure the e-mail POP3 users are not hitting their accounts more than 10 times an hour. Otherwise they should use IMAP.
