Server Migration

Dear LQ members.

We are deciding to migrate the servers of our clients. For that we have now one server and we are dividing it to three servers. I need your guidance for how much it will take time and what efforts we have to do?

Given that you've said nothing at all about what these servers are doing, what operating system they run, how many they are, what form they take, I don't know what we're meant to say...

Hi,

Adding to what acid_kewpie said, the amount of time you'll need is also relative to the knowledge you have. With that I mean, do you know what you have to do, planned out everything, written procedure, ... Or do you have to search Google for everything. Be more precise in your descriptions/questions and you'll get a lot more precise answers.

Kind regards,

Eric

And often, the need to ask certain questions in the first place can suggest an awful lot about just how long this will take...
