Serial port Ip address

I am new to Linux. I am using debian. I need to connect two linux boxes with null modem PPP. I want to configure one box as PPP server and another as PPP client. I tried PPPd, Kppp . I got error messages . Please tell me the procedure to establish the ppp link . Thank you regards geethanjali |

I will not be able to help you, but it will help us when you can tell us which error messages you get (and where (server or client)).

I haven't done this since a thing called cat5 came on the scene:) but a quick google search came up with this --
