Serial Mouse
I just finished installing Mandrake 8.1 from CDs. Everything went fairly well except for the mouse. It is just your standard serial (Microsoft)2 button mouse. The program loads, the display appears, the arrow is on the screen but it will not move which makes it impossible to execute anything. I looked at all possibilities during install and it looked pretty straight forward but the mouse is dead. It works ok in the Win/OS.
How do I get the program to stop during boot up in the Console login mode? Lisbon:confused:  |
Usually CTRL+ALT+(F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6...) will get you to a console screen that you can log into in text mode. If that doesn't work then you may have to do:
init=/bin/bash at the LILO prompt and edit your inittab so that your default init level is 3 or something like that |
