Hey i have a RH7 system, the problem is i have a service vmcserver starting and i need to stop it from starting because it hangs the system while starting..

i booted in linux single mode and used ntsysv and disabled it but when i restart it doesn't do anything it's still there. any help would be greatly appreciated.

As root type "setup" on an console. Go to services (or so) and search for "vncserver". Uncommend it and restart the computer.
Or you do some serious hacking and go to the /etc/rc.d directory, search the correct runlevel and remove the link, which looks something like "S??vncserver".
