SENDMAIL, POP3 et al
Hi all,
I'm running Red Hat 9, with Sendmail. I've configured POP3 access. However, it only works with the domain name I was allocated by the company that hosts my server. How do I get it to work with a domain I'm hosting off my box? i.e. atm, in my e-mail client, I specify "mybox.myhostingco.com" as my POP3 server, how can I make it so I can specify "mydomain.com" as my POP3 server? Thanks, Rob |
Hi Rob,
I don't understand your question! mybox.myhostingco.com is your POP3 server... (can't really change that...) Maybe you want your email sent as rob@mydoman.com? Regards Jonas |
Sorry jonas, wasn't in the most articulate of moods at the time of posting! I found the solution in the form of virtual hosting, added the necessary line to /etc/mail/virtusertable and I was away!
Thanks, Rob |
