sendmail nullclient

I'm creating a dummy server in front of my network so that the email server won't be exposed... it is my understanding that all I need to do is add the nullclient feature to the sendmail.mc file

is that all I need in that file?

next if my email server goes down will the mail stay in a queue on the dummy server?
