Sendmail .forward Help

I receive these errors in my /var/log/maillog file when I receive emails, even successful ones.

May 27 12:10:59 echidna sendmail[32513]: g4RGAxt32512: forward /home/userid/.forward.host: Permission denied

May 27 12:10:59 echidna sendmail[32513]: g4RGAxt32512: forward /home/userid/.forward: Permission denied

I have a entry in the virtusertable for this user as I am doing virtual hosting.

Thanks.

well... are the permissions on it correct?
is .forward enabled in sendmail?.. presumably.

generaly procmail filtering is prefered to a simple .forward. try making a .procmailrc to do it nicer.
