Sendmail-echo command

I run this Command:
(echo From: Bassian ; echo Subject: Bassian ; echo To: Foodconnex ; tail/appl/ai/ai.log) | sendmail `cat /appl/ai/recipients-list`

vi /appl/ai/recipients-list
********@gmail.com

These's servers are right next to each other on the same network, how can I tell what might be causing one from not allowing this command to work and one allowing?

We need details eg what does the log say?
How did you put the cmd on each server eg did you ftp via MSWin for example?
Are they running exactly the same SW versions?
