selecting text without the mouse

i wanted to know how to select text in text-mode without using the mouse to make copy paste to it later.

i'm not entirely sure, but i think u need to add copy/paste and mouse support then u should be able to use the shift+arrow keys to select text. the keys to copy and paste are different from the std ctrl+c/x/v. the only one i know is ctrl+insert which pastes.
