Segmentation Fault Problem

After reboot i encountered SEGMENTATION FAULT error...

grep -q "Red Hat" /etc/....

I have read from this forum that one possible cause for this problem is the corrupted grep. As suggested, i have to reinstall grep from the rescue disk.

But the problem is, i don't the rescue disk of my linux box. What will i do so that i can reinstall grep?

I am using RH9 distro....

You can download the grep rpm from Red Hat and install that.
