Segmentation fault
 

Every program I try to run produces: "Segmentation fault" yet leaves no core file to debug with.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Overheating? It really depends on what distro, what "every program" is, what kind of hardware, what has worked in the past, but isn't now, what changed if that is so, if debugging is even an option with "every program"...

Other thoughts: bad memory, mismatched or corrupted library.

If the issue is the core file, you may need to enable core dumping with the 'ulimit' command.
