Angry Seeing /home (hda6) from a previous install of Fedora Core 3

I installed Fedora Core 3 a while back and created a /home directory. I did this thinking that I could upgrade or reinstall linux without losing my files that I saved in /home. To make a long story short, I ended up reinstalling Fedora Core 3 a couple days ago. Using 'Hardware Browser' I can see my old /home partition but I can not find a way to read or write to it. I also tried Knoppix 3.7 and tried changing the drive to writable but I still could not access my old files.

Basically, I just want to be able to access all my partitions on my system.

Thanks for helping me out with this one...

Caleb

Try this command:

chown -R <user>.<user> /home/<user>

Make sure /etc/fstab has the proper stuff in it to reflect your partition.
