Seamonkey download 2.26.1
 

I have down loaded Seamonkey 2.26.1 Tar bz.2. I have found it in my Desktop file. I do not know how to go from here to open the file and install it. I have a Dell Latitude laptop running Linux Wary Puppy5.Would appreciate any help as I am not too familiar with all this as yet.

1. Open a terminal and navigate to the folder where the tar.gz file is located. From your description I'd guess it's in ~/Downloads.
2. Type the following command:
(what you typed in your post above is not the correct name)
3. Move the untarred folder produced by the above command to a location of your choice, typically this would be in /opt.
