scsi acces driver?!

hi guys i just downloaded mandrake 9.2 i couldnt get much answers else were so i turned to the guys who deals with this, makes sense.....
here goes:

i burned the images as iso they do load a splashscreen when inserted in
cd-rom it says install, floppy, etc i choose install and then it reboots but doesnt install and just go back to winXP so i created a floppy and then it worked nicely now the problem was that it didnt recognize the cd in the cdrom then i found a way around this minor issue
(after trying all 3 cds of course) i started with pressing F1 instead of enter
at install screen and typing expert noapic, linux noapic also works
nicely i proceeded to a place were it asked me for
"scsi access to wich driver"
with alot of stuff under it to choose from i tried them all and then it says
"issue what command"?! to al of them actually

lets hold it there im a No0b!

i been on this for too long this can not be so hard its a OS
firstly i thourd it was the isos wrongly burned but no why would it load splashscreen why would it enter with floppy...
anyone who reads this with knowledge on subject pls answer
its allmost 6 a.m again

Edit: i searched and read for 3 days to get too this point so give me a break guys

Regards Deagle

mandrake 9.2

omg im across 5 forums looking for one simple answer

i going to try this one final time 3 days is enough hope somebody has some answers

i burned the images as iso they do load a splashscreen when inserted in
cd-rom it says install, install from floppy, etc i choose install and then it reboots but doesnt install and just go back to winXP, so i created a floppy and then it worked nicely, now the problem was that it didnt recognize the cd in the cdrom then i found a way around this minor issue

nicely i proceeded to a place were it asked me for
"scsi access to wich driver"
with alot of stuff under it to choose from i tried them all and then it says to all "issue what command"?! and i got stuck what is the command that needed to be issued from that screen to proceed
im certain the iso is correctly burned it loads a splash screen when i insert it in windows i also downloaded Suse didnt work and then i tried Debian didnt work now i ordered the burned cds from the net but i might still have a chance to stop that order if i can sort this out

ok this is what it says after loading it

"Which should i try to gain scsi access"

floppy.o
isofs.o
cdrom.o
ide-cd.o
scsi_mod.o
sr_mod.o
sd_mod.o
3wxxxx.o
advansys.o
aha1542.o
atp870u.o
dtc.o
initio.o
qla1280.o
sym53c416.o
tmscsim.o
nsp32.o
aic7xxx.o
aic79xx.o
pci2000.o
qlogicisp.o
sym53c8xx.o

an no matter what i take it says

"enter parameters to give to kernel"

i hope by now u can see why i am lost
someone said very simple to install and setup just like win....

Moderator note: I've just merged your threads. It's much easier to read now.

Could you please post your hardware specs? It's hard to choose a driver without knowing what is it for.

What is the make / model of the SCSI controller?

Most of the time you do not need to enter any paramters.

Summary:
During the install you stumbled upon a screen asking for SCSI info.
Your asking for SCSI information but you do not know if you have a SCSI controller installed in the PC.

Look at the device manager and look for something that says SCSI. Select that entry. Does it show any make model information? Its been awhile since I've been no an XP machine. I can't remember the exact details on the device manager.

What type of motherboard is installed in this PC?
Does it have a SATA controller?

A google on d346prt did not provide any usefull information. The specs on the motherboard did not show any onboard RAID or SATA controllers that might appear to be a problem. Do you have an additional IDE PCI controller installed?

BTW when you use "linux noapic" when installing do you see the "which driver" question? I'm wondering if you are answering a question yes on "do you have an additional interface" when it should be no.

hi again michael
i have something with this name
"IDE ATA/ATAPI-controllere"

when i use linux noapic it asks
"wich driver should i gain acces too"

exactly like that
and no it doesnt ask anything about and additional interface
it states that the install cd might be wrong but it loads the splashscreen when i insert the cd in win
could it be that the iso burning was wrongly done
and if so why would it load splashscreen?!

i really dont know mate, wonder how it will go when i get the cd's if this is the beginning

Regards
