Scrolling on Firfox is weird

When click the scroll wheel and go up or down a page it works, but once i click it again (to stop it scrolling) it automatically jumps to download.com.

I'm trying to see if it is programmed to do so, until then, i need some advice!download

when you click the scroll on a page, firefox will take you to the first google result of whatever was selected and in (highlight/paste) memory at the time... just like if you used the "I'm Feeling Lucky" at google.com...

for example, i use my mouse to select the title of your thread (Scrolling on Firfox is weird) and i click the scroll somewhere i will be taken here: http://www.macaddict.com/forums/topic/58676 because that's the first result you get if you do a google search for Scrolling on Firfox is weird...

I have finally found a solution.

Visit http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/mouse and follow the shortcuts.
It also says that by going into 'about:config' and changing the middlemouse.contentLoadURL property to false, then you can use it normally (to close the tab and scroll normally), or leave it to true for the paste-and-go option.
