Scripting courses

I was wondering what some of you would recommend as far as taking courses for Linux. I'm most looking for a scripting coarse because that seems to be my largest drawback when it come to administrating my machines. Thanks so much... I very much appreciate this form and those of you who take the time to help us newbies...

Im currently reading UNIX shell programming tools by David medinets - IBSN 0-07-913790-3. It will basically pick you up from the start past programing experiance NOT required. It covers bash, perl and Tcl.

Reading any book on bash, perl or Tcl is a good. You may also want to research cron (like the windows bash command) and tar and things

You may also want to read some UNIX admin books, theres 10000's

Most courses where I live (Australia) focus on MS admin and VB script

Good luck

Thanks Slith(++1)! I have ordered several books on scripting that seem to be good. I'm more looking for a sort of class that I can take. I guess I'm more of a "learn by watching" type. Thanks for the suggestion.
