Question Scripting

How do you write in vi a backup script that would go into a tarball on the temp directory weekly in a cronjob to be run after midnight on Sunday?

Here's a good explanation/example of crontab syntax
http://www.adminschoice.com/docs/crontab.htm#Crontab file

If you are editing your own crontab file, the cmd is

crontab -e

which will edit (creating if needed) your crontab file (one per user). The cmd automatically invokes the default editor ; see section 2 on that page
